Hi, I'm new here.  My name's Vicki.  I love animals.  Right now, I have a cat named Jamie, a cat named Rusty and a hamster named Hamster.  My two fish, Pinkie and Jay just recently passed away. 

I was looking for this community to share a story.  I just recently brought home Rusty.  I've had Jamie since the day she was born, May 27th, 2004.  She was born in my living room.  I knew she was a special cat, her Mom used to carry her to me when she was just a few days old.  I have loved this cat with all my heart.

Last night, I was in my kitchen fixing something to eat, when Jamie walked in.  She started walking in a circle around me.  She was rubbing against me and purring.  Whenever I picked her up, she would rub her head against my chin.  This was weird.  She isn't that affectionate of a cat.  She was injured last year and isn't too trusting.  I was shocked to see how she was acting.  Then I realized why she was like this.  Rusty was in the room.  Everytime he came near me, Jamie would run over and sit inbetween us and glare at him.  She was claiming me as hers.  All night, she did this.  It was so cute.
